About Us

There should be No Bad Treatment.

The No Bad Treatment campaign began development in February 2022 following a discussion between the Hull Domestic Abuse Partnership and The Warren Youth Project. Our aim was to create a campaign that educates Hair and Beauty professionals how to spot the signs of Domestic Abuse and what they can do to help their clients.

There are currently around 80 reports of Domestic Abuse each day to Humberside Police. We know there are many more women out there who feel unable to speak out for a number different reasons, one of them being they don’t have a safe place to do so.

Hair and Beauty professionals often have long standing relationships with their clients, and salons are thought of as a safe space by many women. If you’re a Hair and Beauty professional or training provider and would like to sign up to the No Bad Treatment campaign, you will be directed to our short information film and be required to answer some questions. You will also gain access to our digital resource pack with extra information as well as details of local support services for women experiencing Domestic Abuse. This will be available for you to download on our website.

Since its launch in January 2023 over 60 hair and beauty professionals have signed up to the No Bad Treatment campaign. We are hugely grateful for their support and desire to have a positive impact on people impacted by Domestic Abuse. We are also delighted to be launching in the East Riding in April 2024.
